Google stock screener is a free tool by Google that provides basic stocks filtering capabilities for US share market. Unfortunately though this service does not cover Australian stock market.

Did I mention it is free? I think I did. I am not sure how long they can keep a service with such a high quality free but for now all you need is an email address and then all part of their service is accessible.
I believe finding an undervalued stock is an art. Not that many people are extremely successful in the market but those that are make an easy living by just investing in the market.
Theoretically Australian stock market should be the best place to make money. We have all the information necessary to valuate a stock. We know what the P/E of a stock is, we know if a stock worth even less than it is booking value or not, we can see the history. So why can’t we just use these information and buy the best stocks?
Well, I think the logic is flawless. If you know everything about a company you should be able to come up with it is fair value. Problem here is most stocks are over valued. And the process of checking each and every individual stock is tiresome. Also there is no fixed formula on how to evaluate a share value. I believe that is why not that many people become billionaires playing with ASX. Only few have their own, secret formula.
